Garbage and Recycling Information

Recycling & Garbage Collection Schedule

  • Tuesday: Madoc
  • Wednesday: North Centre Hastings
  • Thursday: South Centre Hastings

Bagged Garbage only, please use clear bags – Maximum of 2 clear bags per household.

Garbage must be out for collection by 7:00am

All clear bag household garbage received at the landfill will be subject to a fee of $2.50 per bag or charged by weight whichever is deemed appropriate.

Dog Licences

We’ve launched our new dog licensing program in partnership with DocuPet.

With the launch of the new program, dog licences are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. The expiration date of 2019 licenses has been extended until April 15th, 2020 while we transition to the new program, but 2020 licences are available now.

DocuPet’s licensing program includes a FREE Lost Pet Service, the ability to upgrade to a tag of your choice, and personalization options.

Amenities and Attractions

Tri-Area Medical Centre

Centre Hastings is home to a state of the art Medical Centre.

With the support of the three (Tri) municipalities, Madoc Township, Tudor-Cashel and Centre Hastings we are now the envy of many Municipalities. Located on the first floor is a fully staffed Family Health Team, 4 doctors and a Nurse Practitioner.

On the second floor we have multiple medical services in the way of: dental, optometrist, hearing clinic and a chiropractor.

In 2018 a state of the art mobile X-Ray clinic opened. The x-ray clinic is available to all residents referred by a medical professional.
