Recently the Province of Ontario has announced a province wide shutdown due to increased cases of COVID-19.  The Municipality of Centre Hastings will be placed into lockdown from December 26th to January 23rd 2021.

The public can expect the following changes in municipal operations:

The Municipal Office will continue to be closed Thursday December 24th at noon and will open Monday January 4th at 8:30am. The public are encouraged to do their business by phone or on-line to limit daily traffic in the office. The public are encouraged to not attend the office unless absolutely necessary. Meeting spaces are permitted for government services. The Municipal Office will remain open to the public. Safety measures have been implemented to protect staff and visitors.

Municipal Halls and Community Centres/Facilities will be closed to the public. The Madoc and District Recreation Centre will be closed throughout the duration of the lockdown. The park and outdoor areas will continue to operate as they currently are.

Municipal Public Works Services such as garbage collection, waste management, roads maintenance etc. will operate as normal.
