COMMUNITY/COVID-19 Update #1: In light of the recent pandemic declaration of COVID-19, and as March Break approaches for the Municipality of Centre Hastings, the Municipality is now taking decisive action to ensure the well-being of our citizens is our top priority.
Given the latest developments, we are taking the following further action:
As of March 13th, 2020, all Municipal-events, programs and classes taking place at the Madoc & District Recreation Centre will be postponed effective immediately. This includes all recreational programming. Small private rentals will continue to be permitted.
As of today, all Municipal buildings will remain open but citizens are discouraged from gathering in them. For any payments that you feel need to be made, we encourage you to visit our website and review the options: https://centrehastings.com/municipal/finance-and-taxes/
We thank you for your patience and understanding and would like you to be reassured that we will continue to do what we can to keep our staff and the public safe and healthy.
