Municipal Boat Launches will be open as of Friday 08/05/2020.
Please be patient while others are loading and unloading and practice physical distancing at all times and take all necessary precautions to keep yourself, your family and our community safe. Access to amenities such as washrooms, picnic areas etc. will remain closed. We remind you that gatherings of more than 5 people are strictly prohibited under the Provincial Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.

Please be advised that the Municipal Office will not be a collection and drop off point for the public water sampling bottles until further notice. Bottles can still be dropped off for testing at Belleville Public Health Unit. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Safe Waste Disposal Guidelines for the Public
These guidelines are being put in place as a precautionary measure to protect the health of collectors who handle thousands of receptacles each week. Please protect your collector and take caution in handling your garbage.
- Place used tissues and napkins securely in a garbage bag.
- Wash your hands afterwards.
- Used liners for food waste should be placed securely inside the garbage bag.
- Do not place waste loosely in garbage containers
- If you are sick – place ANY item that has come into contact with your mouth, nose or eyes into a secure garbage bag.
- Bag all waste. Garbage bags must be tied tightly

Madoc Public Library is now closed until April 7th.
Madoc Arena is closed for the remainder of the season
All municipal halls (Huntingdon Hall, Moira Hall, The Hub, Arts Centre Hastings) will be closed until further notice.
COMMUNITY/COVID-19 Update #1: In light of the recent pandemic declaration of COVID-19, and as March Break approaches for the Municipality of Centre Hastings, the Municipality is now taking decisive action to ensure the well-being of our citizens is our top priority.
Given the latest developments, we are taking the following further action:
As of March 13th, 2020, all Municipal-events, programs and classes taking place at the Madoc & District Recreation Centre will be postponed effective immediately. This includes all recreational programming. Small private rentals will continue to be permitted.
As of today, all Municipal buildings will remain open but citizens are discouraged from gathering in them. For any payments that you feel need to be made, we encourage you to visit our website and review the options: https://centrehastings.com/municipal/finance-and-taxes/
