Notice of Herbicide Use
Between June 1st to August 21stthe Municipality of Centre Hastings will be applying herbicide treatment to control noxious weeds within the municipal road allowance on the following roads: Boundary Road, Emerson Road, Phillipston Road, Clearview Road, Wannamaker Road, School House Road, Wilson Road, Springer Road, Elliot Road, Moira Road, Carson Road, Sills Road, Thomasburg Road, Seymour St. The application of herbicides will be completed according to Ontario Regulation 63/09 of the Pesticides Act under the exception for health and safety to the public.
The herbicides used will include:
Clearview, PCP# 29752, active ingredients aminopyralid & metsulfuron-methyl
Gateway Adjuvant (PCP: 31470, Active Ingredients: Paraffinic Oil & Alkoxylated alcohol non-ionic surfactants)
RoundUp Weather Pro (PCP: 33653, Active Ingredient: Glyphosate)
Greenshield Pest Control Incorporated has been contracted by The Municipality of Centre Hastings to apply the herbicides. The applications will be performed by licensed exterminators who meet the requirements of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
