The Municipal Office at 7 Furnace Street, will be closed on September 30, 2021 in observation of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Public Notice: Regular roadside collection of garbage will not occur on Thursday September 30, 2021 in observation of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. There is no change to collection for Tuesday September 28 or Wednesday September 29.

Regular collection will resume the following week with double limits accepted for those affected.

There are no changes to the regularly scheduled recycling pickup on Thursday September 30, 2021.

The Final Property Tax Instalment due date is September 30, 2021 as well. Given that the Municipal Office will be closed, the Municipality recognizes that property owners may not be able to make the payment when originally due. The instalment due date is therefore moved one day sooner, to the last business day of September: September 29, 2021. However, the Municipality will not apply penalty on late payments until October 7, 2021; giving property owners ample time to make payment due to this change. In future years, the property tax instalment due date will be moved to September 29, 2021 (last business day of September).
