As the ice season comes to a close, the Municipality of Centre Hastings invites families, youth, community groups & residents to join us for a fun free and creative afternoon at the Madoc & District Recreation Centre Arena. On Sunday, March 29, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, you can take part in our inaugural Art on Ice: Community Ice Painting Day—a colourful, hands-on way to celebrate the end of the skating season.
Participants will have the opportunity to paint directly on the ice for free using washable, non-toxic paints, creating vibrant designs and lasting memories. Participants will be guided to designated zones to ensure the artwork is evenly distributed across the entire rink.
Event Details:
- When: Sunday, March 29, 2026 | 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
- Where: Madoc & District Recreation Centre Arena
- Cost: Free for all participants
- Who: Families, youth, local groups, and anyone ready to get creative!
Safety & Requirements:
- Sign-in with event staff
- No skating allowed; foot wear with good grip is required
- Helmets are required for all participants under 18
- Parents/guardians must remain on site with their children
