Back To School: Cross Walk Locations

Just a reminder that school kicks off on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024. Our youth and crossing guards will be present on the roads and pathways. Please take note of the designated crossing areas; you can find a map attached below to help you locate them.

1. Durham Street – across from the Market Square
2. Elgin Street – across from Madoc Nursery School
3. Elgin Street & Wellington Street

When there is a school crossing guard in the crosswalk with a stop sign, drivers must stop before reaching the crosswalk and remain stopped until all pedestrians, including the crossing guard, have cleared the roadway. The fine for failing to stop for a crossing guard is $150 to $500 and three demerit points.
