Celebrating Service and Dedication: Centre Hastings Volunteer Firefighters Recognized

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Municipality of Centre Hastings proudly recognized members of the Centre Hastings Fire Department for their years of dedicated volunteer service. The recognition took place at both Station 1 and Station 2, acknowledging the important role volunteer firefighters play in protecting the community and supporting public safety.

Shawn Turpin was recognized for 20 years of service and received his 20-Year Service Medal at Station 1, presented by Fire Chief Snider.

Chris Hoftyzer was recognized at Station 2 for 5 years of service, presented by Councillor McLaughlin & Fire Chief Snider.

The Municipality of Centre Hastings extends its sincere appreciation to Shawn and Chris for their dedication and commitment to the Centre Hastings Fire Department. Their service reflects professionalism, teamwork, and a strong sense of community responsibility.
