Christmas & New Year Message From Mayor Deline

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many ways our community has come together, and to celebrate the growth and progress we’ve achieved throughout 2025. I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributes to making the Municipality of Centre Hastings a strong, welcoming, and forward-looking community.

This past year has brought significant accomplishments, including the near completion of the Clare McFaul Long-Term Care Facility, owned and operated by UniversalCare Canada Inc. As well as the successful early completion of downtown sewer and sidewalk projects.. Alongside these milestones, we have continued to advance new initiatives, community development, infrastructure improvements, and programs that support residents, families, and local businesses. None of this progress would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, the resilience of our business community, the hard work of municipal staff, and the ongoing engagement of our residents.

The holiday season is a time for gratitude, generosity, and connection. It offers us a chance to pause, reflect, and appreciate the shared efforts that strengthen our community year after year. I hope this season brings peace to your homes, joy to your hearts, and cherished moments with family and friends.

Looking ahead to 2026, Council remains committed to responsible growth, thoughtful planning, and building a sustainable future for our community. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to continuing our work together to support progress, innovation, and community well-being.
