Notice of Herbicide Use
Between May 29th to September 30th the Municipality of Centre Hastings will be applying herbicide treatment to control noxious weeds at:
(Boundary Road, Emerson Road, Phillipston Road, Clearview Road, Wannamaker Road, School House Road, Wilson Road, Springer Road, Elliot Road, Moira Road, Carson Road, Sills Road, Hollowview Road, Thomasburg Road, Old Marmora Road, Lahey Road, Reynolds Lane, Centre Road, Hill Road, Ivanhoe Ball Diamond, Foot trail between 40 Seymour Street W to 47 St Peters Street South, Road into Whytock Park from Fire Hall, Whytock Park 65 Queen Street West).
The application of herbicides will be completed according to Ontario Regulation 63/09 of the Pesticides Act under the exception for health and safety to the public.
The herbicides used will include:
Clearview, PCP# 29752, active ingredients aminopyralid & metsulfuron-methyl
Gateway Adjuvant (PCP: 31470, Active Ingredients: Paraffinic Oil & Alkoxylated alcohol non-ionic surfactants)
Navius Flex, PCP# 30922, Active Ingredients: Metsulfuron-methyl & Aminocyclopyrachlor
VisionMax Silviculture Herbicide, PCP# 27736, Active Ingredients: Glyphosate
The following areas will not be sprayed:
- Roadside areas mowed and maintained as lawn by property owners
- Locations requested not to be sprayed by adjacent landowners.
Greenshield Pest Control Incorporated has been contracted by the Municipality of Centre Hastings to apply the herbicides. The applications will be performed by licensed exterminators who meet the requirements of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
