Potential Canada Post Mail Delivery Disruption

What to do during a postal disruption – May 2025

Due to the anticipated Cost Post service disruption, residents of Centre Hastings are encouraged to avoid sending payments and documents by mail to the municipality.

the Municipality of Centre Hastings offers the following alternative payment options for property taxes and utility (water/sewer) bills:

• sign up for e-billing to receive future utility bills by email: centrehastings.com/utilities-ebilling
  (please note: e-billing for property tax bills is currently under development)

• sign up for pre-authorized payments for both property tax and utility accounts: centrehastings.com/finance

• pay through your financial institution, either online or in person.

• in-person payments and document drop-offs are accepted at the Centre Hastings Municipal Office:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  • Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

• after-hours drop box: cheque payments and documents can be placed in the secure drop box located at the front door of the municipal office.
