Water Use Restriction Notice

Madoc, ON -  Please note that effective as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, the Municipality of Centre Hastings and the Ontario Clean Water Agency are asking residents to reduce water consumption and non-essential water use.The advisory will remain in place until further notice.

The restriction is due to emergency maintenance and repairs on one of the municipal drinking water wells systems. Please note that this does not affect the safety of the drinking water supply – your water continues to be safe to use.
 
Ways you can immediately reduce your usage include:
1. Do not leave the tap on unnecessarily
2. Do not run washing machines or dishwashers
3. Flush toilets only when necessary
4. Reduce showering or bathing
5. No watering of lawns or filling of pools
6. Minimize any other non-essential water use
