Canada Day 2025
Canada Day is a nationwide celebration and a long-standing tradition in Centre Hastings. Each year, the Municipality of Centre Hastings hosts one of the largest events of the year within the village of Madoc. The main event for Canada Day is hosted at Centre Hastings Park (24 Seymour Street, Madoc). but also throughout Centre Hastings.
Canada Day is supported by its residents, community members, service groups, and volunteers, making this one of the year's biggest celebrations!
Canada Day has a variety of events that takes place throughout the day and evening! A wide variety of kid's games, live entertainment with face painting and balloon artists, live music, and end finally with fireworks on Moira Lake.
Our events program has been designed to safely connect us as friends, neighbors, and Canadians this July.

Located in the downtown core of Madoc, this is your starting point! We encourage you to support all businesses and shops throughout Centre Hastings while enjoying the festivities.
Main Event Grounds
Most Canada Day activities will take place at Centre Hastings Park – 24 Seymour Street West.
Fireworks & Lighted Boat Parade
End your day by the water with a breathtaking fireworks show and a magical lighted boat parade on Moira Lake.

A big thank you to Switzer-CARTY Transportation for providing a complimentary Canada Day Shuttle Bus to and from the fireworks show at Moira Lake!

Join us this Canada Day for a fun-filled celebration in Centre Hastings! We’re coming together to create a Human Canadian Maple Leaf — so wear your Canada Day red and be part of something uniquely Canadian!
The formation of the Human Maple Leaf will take place at 11:00 AM in front of the Arts Centre at Centre Hastings Park (24 Seymour Street West, Madoc).
We might not beat Trenton (yet!), but it's a start — and with your help, we can make it amazing!

Canada Day Itinerary for 2025
Canada Day is about coming together as a community, and we’re excited to offer a variety of interactive experiences throughout the day for all ages to enjoy!
Celebrate Canada Day with Us at Centre Hastings Park & Moira Lake!
We’re excited to invite you to join the Canada Day festivities at Centre Hastings Park and Moira Lake!
Thanks to the generous support of Switzer-Carthy Transportation, a complimentary shuttle bus service will be available for the Canada Day fireworks display. This wonderful initiative helps reduce traffic congestion and offers a convenient way for everyone to enjoy the celebration at Moira Lake.
Shuttle Details:

Pick-Up Location: Centre Hastings Park

Departure Times: 8:30 PM and 8:50 PM (to Moira Lake Boat Launch)

Return Trip: Shuttle will bring patrons back after the fireworks
