Permanent Full Time Labourer/Operator

Wage Range: $29.33 - $33.53 per hour

Position:

Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor and the Director of Public Works, the Labourer/Operator is responsible for assisting in the implementation and general maintenance of on-going operations of the Public Works Department for the Municipality of Centre Hastings.

Education and Experience:

• Must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
• Possess and maintain minimum a valid Class “D” Province of Ontario Driver’s License with a “Z” endorsement
• Three (3) years experience operating a snowplow and loader would be an asset
• Demonstrated excellent safety record, ability to meet physical demands of the position
• Ability to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, combined with flexible work hours
• A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a related field is an asset.

 The pay rate for this existing position is Salary Rate 2026: $29.33 - $33.53 per hour ($61,006 – $69,735 annually) based on a 40-hour work week together with a competitive and attractive benefit package and enrollment in the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) Pension Plan. This position requires flexible work hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and Statutory holidays.
