Position:
Reporting to the Road Supervisor and the Director of Public Works, the Labourer/Operator is responsible for assisting in the implementation and general maintenance of on-going operations of the Public Works Department for the Municipality of Centre Hastings.
Education and Experience:
- Must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Possess and maintain minimum a valid Class “D” Province of Ontario Driver’s License with a “Z” endorsement
- Two (2) years experience operating a snow plow and loader would be an asset
- Demonstrated excellent safety record, ability to meet physical demands of the position
- Ability to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, combined with flexible work hours
- A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a related field is an asset
Position:
Under the guidance of the Parks, Recreation and Facilities Supervisor, the Attendant is responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of day-to day operations and aspects of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities in the Municipality including municipal buildings, arena, sports field(s), trails, parks, and open spaces. This position includes ensuring facilities and recreational spaces are operated in a safe efficient manner.
Education and Experience:
- Must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Possess “B” Certificate in Refrigeration, or willingness to obtain Refrigeration certification “B” license (CIT – Certified Ice Technician)
- Working knowledge of basic refrigeration, ice making and maintenance
- Possess propane handling certificate
- Working knowledge of grounds keeping equipment operation and maintenance
- Valid Ontario G class drivers’ license (current Driver Abstract is required to be submitted with resume)
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
- A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a related field is an asset
