Canada Day 2024

Canada Day is a nationwide celebration and a long-standing tradition in Centre Hastings. Each year, the Municipality of Centre Hastings hosts one of the largest events of the year within the village of Madoc. The main event for Canada Day is hosted at Centre Hastings Park (24 Seymour Street, Madoc). but also throughout Centre Hastings.

Canada Day is supported by its residents, community members, service groups, and volunteers, making this one of the year's biggest celebrations!

Canada Day has a variety of events that takes place throughout the day and evening! A wide variety of kid's games, live entertainment with face painting and balloon artists, live music, and end finally with fireworks on Moira Lake.

Our events program has been designed to safely connect us as friends, neighbors, and Canadians this July.

Do you know any local artists who might like to display their art work at this event on Canada Day?
Lots of space available. Looking to include all types of art! Artists are welcome to include 3-4 pieces of their work.
This event is a part of the Skate Park Canada Day festivities and is a great way for the community to come out and view our local talent.
Artists are welcome to stay with their displays if they wish to sell their pieces or leave their contact info incase of interest.

Canada Day's full day of festivities ends with an illuminating firework display on Moira Lake (Madoc Boat Launch).

For the first time, we are doing a lighted boat parade at dusk on Moira Lake.
