Fire Safety

The Municipality of Centre Hastings does not issue burn permits.  We do ask that you call the office during business hours to inform us of any burn that you may have (613)473-4030.  Please follow the guidelines listed in our Fire By-Law.

Your first defense is a working smoke alarm.  Make sure you install smoke alarms on every story of your home and outside all sleeping areas. Install carbon monoxide alarms outside all sleeping areas if your home has a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace or attached garage. Don’t forget to test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms every month.
